Rosemary Harris was ecstatic as bee removal expert Mike Sykes and several beekeepers came to her house Wednesday to remove a swarm of bees from her home.

"I'm so happy, I can sleep...thank God, He's still got people to take care of other people," Harris said.

We first reported last week that Harris was terrified to sleep because she feared being stung by the bees. She knew that if they weren't removed soon, she would have had to leave her home of 60 years on Howard Avenue.

The cost of bee removal is $600, a price that Harris simply couldn't afford. But thanks to an anonymous donor, Sykes was able to return and remove the bees humanely by gently vacuuming them from the house. Beekeepers relocated them, along with their comb, to new homes.
