The wreath in honor of Trayvon Martin. Birmingham City Council also made him an honorary citizen of Birmingham today.

The Birmingham NAACP honored Trayvon Martin today with a wreath laying ceremony at Kelly Ingram Park. The ceremony was held at the foot soldier statue Tuesday morning, on the corner of 16th Street and 5th Avenue North in downtown Birmingham.

The NAACP has called for the arrest of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain who shot Martin.
