Superheroes across the nation are coming out in full force this weekend to watch The Avengers movie. Fans are getting into character by strapping on masks, shields, capes and entire costumes to celebrate the film's premiere.

Several fans were already starting to show up in costume Friday night at the Vestavia Hills Rave. Some of the superheroes are with the Alabama Phoenix Festival, a group that is promoting Free Comic Book Day in Alabama on Saturday, May 5.
