BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC)- The Birmingham Police Department has identified the victim of a homicide that occurred last Wednesday.
According to officers, 18-year-old Devontae Jones was found on Wednesday night around 11 p.m. in the 1100 block of 25th Street in Ensley. Police responded to the scene when they received a report of a person down. When they arrived, they found Jones lying on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue transported Jones to UAB Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
